The file will be displayed in its default font if they are using a different text editor. Notepad files that you create after customizing the font and then share with someone will conform to the font settings they use. It will be pasted as plain text if you paste it into a Word document or an email client. You can change the font at any time, but the text will always be ‘clean’ regardless of which font or style you use. When you open a TXT file in Notepad or any other file that Notepad can edit, such as HTML or BAT files, or PS1 files, they will all be displayed in the same custom font that you’ve specified. When you click OK, the same font, style, and size will be applied to all Notepad files. A preview of the font will be available in the Sample section. Choose a font style from the Font Style list and size from the Size list. Select a font from the Font list’s list of installed fonts. To change the font in Notepad, open it and select Format>Font. Notepad’s font customization options allow you to choose a different typeface. The text itself will be plain, with no formatting at all. The modifications you make will be visible. Having said that, you can still change the font in Notepad to some extent. It’s frequently used to remove formatting from text copied from a web page or document. When using Notepad, there’s no reason to apply colors or other formatting styles to text. Notepad is a simple text editor that, like all simple text editors, does not allow you to change the typefaces.
